Making a Fashion “Mark”

My friend and Lularoe Lady Cyndy challenged me to try a style out and show the different ways to wear it before she launches it in her group. The style is a shirt called Mark – and it’s actually a men’s shirt, but we want to show how it can work well for the ladies! Let me tell you, it is possibly my new favorite thing ever. Today I’m going back to my fashion blogger routes and showing you four ways to style this bad boy. I was provided this Mark for free from Cyndy, but all other pieces were purchased by me.

Mark is a long sleeved henley style shirt with buttons at the top. The one I received is a lovely mauve color with gray sleeves. I chose a size small. For the first look, I went pretty basic at first – I paired with my favorite unicorn leggings. Mark is nice and long in the back so it covers my behind which is nice. It would be a nice look without anything else, but I took it up a notch. I added boots, the Shirley kimono and a fun necklace for a casual yet glam feel. This would be great for a girls brunch or a day of shopping.

The next look I put together I decided to really try to bring a more feminine feel to the Mark, so I added one of the more fancy skirts from Lularoe – the Lola. But I wanted it to still not be overly dressy, so I added a denim jacket and some basic flats. This would easily be a good look for work or date night.

The next look I tried was also with a skirt, I put it with a Madison skirt. It dresses up the Mark, yet dresses down the Madison. To add to the casual feel I pushed up the sleeves on the Mark. Easy office look for sure.

For my final look I pulled together a layered look for a cool Fall or winter day. The mauve color in the Mark matches one of my Sarah cardigans perfectly. It’s like they were meant to go together. I put it with a pair of jeans and my favorite Toms shoes and it would be a perfect look for any casual day.

I had a great time playing with Mark and showing how well it can work with just about any look. Not only does it look great, it’s soft and cozy too! I know it’s going to be a staple in my Fall and Winter wardrobe! Thanks again to Cyndy for giving me the chance to try it out!
