I haven’t shared a “what I’ve worn” post in a while, and seeing that Spring has kind of sprung, thought today would be a good day to share some of my latest looks! You can always see my daily outfits on Instagram as well (unless it’s a week like last week when I have to be at Public Works at the butt crack of dawn!)
Sweater – Ann Taylor (Thrifted), Jeans – Denizen (Target), Shoes – from friend
I loved this look from last week so much that I snuck a lunchtime picture of it. This sweater is a great layering piece and nice and lightweight for warmer days. And these are my second favorite pair of jeans (my favorite are my LOFT ones from Style Encore).
Dress – Old Navy, Sweater – Stitch Fix, Shoes – Target
This was a look selected by my Outfits app, aka The Robot Who Dressed Me. I will have a few thoughts on the app at the end of the post. At any rate, I have styled this dress quite a few ways, but never with this orange sweater. I really liked the result!
Sweater – Stitch Fix, Shirt – Randy by Lularoe, Pants – Denizen (thrifted), Shoes – DSW
And for this one above, I decided it was Dress Like Your Bitmoji day. I selected this cute look for my Bitmoji and then realized, I could probably recreate this exact look on myself. So, voila!
Shirt – Xhilaration (Target), Pants – Old Navy, Boots – Target, Necklace – Jewell by Thirty One
This is today’s outfit. I tell you, I get more compliments on this top. It was a great Target find a couple of months ago! I’m finding it’s working well into Spring here as it is open in the back and is fairly lightweight. I don’t think I’ll have to put this away for awhile yet.
As I mentioned above I thought I’d share some thoughts on the Outfits app. I’ve been using the Outfits app now for about three weeks. I’m still liking it, but I’m also finding myself frustrated by it. It has a tendency to select the same five or six pieces over and over again. I really wish it would try more variety. I still have about a week left on my subscription, so I’m not sure yet if I’ll keep it or give it up. I have liked most of the combos it’s come up with and I’ve definitely mixed things I maybe wouldn’t have otherwise. I think it’s trying to help me define kind of a minimalist/capsule type wardrobe and while I do want to simplify my closet, I just don’t know that I could ever truly do a capsule wardrobe. I like too much variety. So we’ll see. I have had fun playing with it, but long term I might just go back to being my own creative self and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that!
I’m hoping for some more warm weather so you’ll start to see more skirts and dresses in my outfit rotations! It is nearly May after all!
