Currently in April

It’s the first Wednesday of a new month so that means it is time for Currently with Anne of In Residence and her co-host this month Jess of Jess Gets Dressed Sometimes. Here’s a look at some Current happenings in my world!

Currently I Am:

Accomplishing – In addition to finally getting our budget set a home we are doing some spring cleaning. I’ve been working on cleaning out our laundry room. Next I’d like to go through my linen closet and also go through some of Ollie’s clothes and see what isn’t fitting him anymore. So, yes, clean ALL the things!

Feeling – Happy. It’s nice to be able to say that. I don’t borrow trouble, but life is on a pretty even keel at the moment. So I’m happy. I’ll take it.

Needing – A new pair of running shoes. My old ones are in a sorry state right now. I love New Balance so I might have to head out to the New Balance store and look at a new pair, maybe even some fun colored ones like the one in the picture!

Practicing – Patience. I love my Ollie boy and he’s a lot of fun right now, but he most definitely tests me daily on various things. He’s three, it’s part of the age!

Pinning – Spring outfit ideas, especially ideas that I have items for already in my closet. I specifically can’t wait for a warm enough day to try pairing one of my Lularoe Carly dresses with a Lularoe Cassie skirt. I’ve seen several examples of this look and I’m anxious to try it out!

That’s the latest from here! What’s Currently going on with you? For more Currently posts or to add your own visit Anne and Jess!

  1. Aww fun! We both did currently posts today πŸ™‚

I’ve been in a spring cleaning mood lately too–get rid of all the things, throw open the windows and clean clean clean. It doesn’t happen often so I best take advantage of it πŸ™‚

Hope you are having a great week!

  2. I love New Balance too! My non-pregnant feet are very narrow, so I love that they have easily available narrow options. Of course, my still-think-I’m-pregnant feet are super wide, so my fun bright runners are collecting dust. I’m going through every room of our house too. I’m tackling it one day a week (with my mother’s help since the minute I organize a cupboard, someone usually comes along and pulls everything out of it… sigh) so parts of my house feel like a disaster while others are blissfully organized. And I’ll get around to posting on your budget post, but April 1 was our budget reboot too!

  3. I can’t wait to wear my LLR dresses! I bought them right when the weather turned for winter so they’re just in the back of my closet!

  4. Ugh, the laundry room! A room that often gets ignored by me. It’s small, but somehow still manages to always be a hot mess haha. And those running shoes are cute! I feel like buying shoes in the most fun color combinations leaves at least a small chance of me feeling more motivated to get moving. πŸ˜‰

    1. Oh yes I have, it’s dangerous. I do like the leggings, but I’m really more about the dresses and tops they have. A friend of mine sells it so she’s kind of my dealer. πŸ˜‰

  5. I haven’t really needed to go through Hendrik’s closet – instead I just get rid of something practically every day after he’s done wearing it, because everything’s too short all of a sudden! And you should definitely go for a bright colored running shoe – it makes you even faster, I say πŸ˜‰

  6. I totally need to do some spring cleaning. My closet is full and it needs to be thinned out. I am excited to put together some spring outfits. I am also in need of some new running shoes. All kinds of goodies needed for the spring!

  7. Haha, I did a currently yesterday as well, and had patience as what I’m practicing! I need to do spring cleaning as well, particularly in my closet and switching items out with the warmer weather coming in. Good luck!

  8. Yay for cleaning and the promise of new running shoes! Im so happy you are happy πŸ™‚ I need to go through the boys closets again real soon. They wont stop growing! LOL

  9. I love that we’re both pinning patience…ahh 3 year olds. I needed a double dose yesterday, he was on my last nerve!! Luckily today is going better so far–I swear, they’re so sweet one minute, then the next it’s like they’re different kids!! You’ll have to show off your new shoes when you find some, and I can’t wait to see if you try that skirt + dress combo, it looks really fun!
