Crossroads

So you all love it when I speak in metaphors and am super duper vague right?  Oh good, cause I’m going to do that again today.  If you were following me on the old blog, I wrote a post earlier this summer about a hypothetical bridge I was hoping to cross and then finding out later that this particular bridge just wasn’t going to allow me to cross.  Well now I have three bridges in front of me.  In fact, instead of a bridge, it’s almost like I’m coming to a fork in the road where three roads cross and I need to decide which path to go down.  I’m not certain yet I am going to be allowed access to all three paths yet, but there is potential and it will be up to me to choose which way to go. I will have to likely consult a map and figure out where each road will lead me.  This isn’t going to be a blind “we’ll end up where we end up” type decision.

Due to all that craziness and the fact that we have some family coming into town next week I have decided after Thrift Style Thursday tomorrow, I’m going to take the next week off from the blog.  I love blogging and everything about it, but right now my brain is going a mile a minute and I think it’ll be good to just focus on studying “my map”, spending time with our family when they are here and kind of just relaxing a bit.  I have so many posts I want to write and share, I had totally brainstormed a list when I thought I would do Blog Every Day in August and I fully intend to get those posts up very soon.  You have all been super supportive of my new site and I’m still really pleased with how this turned out.  I will be doing some minor tweaking of a few little things, but nothing that should be terribly crazy.  I’m pretty proud of this new blog and what it’s been allowing me to do so far and I’m still really looking forward to playing with it some more.  I’ll just be taking a little vacay time!

On we go!

  1. I'm so excited to see what paths you get to go down! I know you said this wasn't a: "blind “we’ll end up where we end up” type decision" but don't discount any gut feelings even if you can't quite figure out why. Every decision where I ignored my gut feeling because I didn't have a valid reason has been a wrong decision. If you need an impartial person to bounce ideas off of, I'm always here!

  2. Oh I can't wait to hear all about this! I love forks in the road–it means so many exciting opportunities lie ahead for you! Happy blog break! We will all be here when you get back!

  3. Yay!! I think its important to have things change in life. Otherwise we keep plodding along a path and it make take us thousands of miles before we realize we're lost. Enjoy the blog silence, and have fun with your family!

  4. {{hugs}} good luck! Big decisions are hard, but I'm so glad that right now you have potentially so many options! I'm here to listen if you ever need to just talk or have another ear around. <3

  5. Well of course I support your blog break, since I'm taking one right now too. Sometimes, you just need to take a step back. I hope you have some time to relax and recharge! Good luck with all your decisions!

  6. I know what you mean about a crossroads. I know though without a doubt that you will find the right path for you and your family! I'm always here for you if you need someone to talk to! Love you!!

  7. Unless you can clone yourself and go down all three paths, I suggest you take a week off, let your brain cool down, and give yourself time to reflect. You can find the right choices but need to calm your mind first. Good luck.
